Wow! Another season for the One Room Challenge!
First, I would like to thank Linda Weinstein and her fantastic team who make this challenge possible every year! When I see the number of designers who participate in this challenge, I know that I am not the only one to appreciate it! We stimulate our creativity by sharing ideas. This challenge is so inspiring! So, let's start this spring 2021 edition with a bathroom remodel!

This year, I will share with you the makeover of a bathroom. Toni, my client asked me if I can refresh her guest bathroom to make it more elegant and classy! So, let's see the room:
As you can see, this bathroom is outdated and is ready for a refreshment! This house was built in 1983. Toni and her husband bought it a few years ago. They waited before making changes, so this bathroom being almost original, it needs a complete facelift.
It is a small space 5' X 8'. There's a vanity, a toilet, and a bathtub. White square tile on walls and gray rectangular tile on the floor.
What my client hates the most in this bathroom: the fabric cornice above the bathtub...Not a big deal to remove!
To keep this project in a budget, we will save the bathtub and the toilet but remove everything else!
MY TO DO LIST (as an interior designer):
Design a new bathroom
Select new tiles for the floor and walls
Select new bathtub hardware
Select new vanity
Select new lighting
Select new medicine cabinet
Select glass bathtub door style
Select paint color for the wall
Create a 3D rendering of the new bathroom based on selection
Manage budget and delivery of all material
Manage contractor's work
CONTRACTOR TO DO LIST:
Remove cornice and shower curtain
Remove all tiles (floor and walls)
Remove all shower hardware
Remove vanity, mirror and lighting
Install new tiles (floor and walls)
Create a shampoo niche
Install new vanity
Install a surface-mounted medicine cabinet
Install new lighting
Smooth the wall and paint it
Install new shower hardware
Install a frameless bathtub glass door
This is a great challenge, and trust me, this bathroom will be stunning when it will be done!
